As if you weren't sure about the electro leanings in Swamp 81's operations, this new slice of machine funk from Tes La Rock under his new Trusta guise puts paid to any doubts. There's pure 808 goodness rocking out of every orifice of "Hypnotic", as a Touchin Bass kind of bleak but heavy funk takes hold. It's a simple idea delivered with devastating precision. "Feels So" meanwhile sets its course for vintage jungle, stopping just early enough to keep a lower BPM in which to wrestle the breakbeats. With a wild flair to the construction of this track, Tes has proven his undeniable gift for devastating, era-crossing music.
