Let's Play House really are on a bit of a roll aren't they? Rather than entering the record label business with a slow or sporadic release schedule, the New York imprint overseen by Jacques Renault, James Friedman and Nik Mercer has been slamming out quality release after quality release since it launched. For their latest release they call on Melbournite Fantastic Man, aka Mic "Hello" Newman, who turns in four cuts of pure, sumptuous deepness. "It's Essential" bumps with a jagged piano loop and occasional bursts of horns and jazzy drum breaks, while "Wie Gehts" sounds like Soundstream in heads down mode. Flip over for the starry-eyed twinkle of "Sanctuary" and dusty analogue textures of "Scenic Route". Not a dud track in sight - highly recommended.
